PROBLEMS ABOUT WATER PURIFICATION AND
TREATMENT

The ZANASI IMPIANTI S.N.C. has made and dealt in treatment plants for waste water coming from stone processing for over 20 years, using an automatic filter press, having very innovative characteristics and specifically designed for sludge coming from marble and granite processing. This equipment was carried up together with the company DELTA ACQUE of Florence. The treatment plants planned by Mr. Mario Zanasi and the filter presses made thanks to the above mentioned collaboration, have been realized for all the world markets, from the U.S.A. to China, from South America Countries to Arabian Countries and of course for Europe and specifically for Portugal, Spain, France and England.

In order to work better in the specific field of marble and granite industry, the head office and technical offices of ZANASI IMPIANTI S.N.C. are in Carrara, while , by the moment the complete production is made in the factory in Florence.

The firm DELTA ACQUE, established in 1971, works in the field of primary and discharge water treatment , and then it has developed an electronic department of its own, which builds equipments for water treatment and galvanic industry.

After a short time, the activity of DELTA ACQUE tends toward the application of electronic equipments in the field of water treatment, developing a range of instrumentations, at that time really innovative, for the determination of water’s electrochemical parameters, so, the activity tends toward the field of water filtering based on ionic exchange resins, the ones which are still used for water softening and demineralization.

Around the half of the seventies, a particular type of demineralizer is planned, with hydraulic and electric equipments joined together in only one control unit, and with an electronic control of the hydraulic valves' operations; this solution, cheap and functional at the same time, allows a considerable diffusion of the demineralizers both for the production of demineralized water for industrial use, and for the use of treatment of water coming from industrial discharge, particularly for galvanic industry.
Taking always care of the technological modernization of production, the construction of ecologic machines is undertaken, and this is possible thanks to the opening of a new factory in Calenzano, in 1981, at that time really wide and functional for the firm's activity and now to the recent change in the new factory in Florence. The company SPESS ITALIA S.R.L. was established on 14.10.1981 in Florence; the head office, the technical and administrative offices have been recently moved in the new factory in Florence, in an industrial area of great expansion.

The activity of SPESS ITALIA S.R.L. above all tends towards the planning and realization of biological plants of all kinds and dimensions, both for civil use for inhabited areas, and for industrial use, for all different kinds of industry.

In order to be able to operate in some of the above mentioned fields, which request official certifications for technological and productive capacities, the company SPESS ITALIA S.R.L. is registered in the National List of Builders, managed by the Public Works Ministry in Rome, for the following categories: Earthworks, Civil , Industrial, Monumental Buildings, Aqueducts, Sewages, Irrigation Plants, Water Lifting, Potabilization and Depuration Plants.

The group, constituted by ZANASI IMPIANTI S.N.C., SPESS ITALIA S.R.L. and DELTA ACQUE works in all fields of water treatment, covering the whole cycle of water utilization:
Planning and construction of machines and plants for waste water treatment of marble and granite industry (marble and stone processing);
Costruction of softening and treatment of primary water for industrial use;
Construction of softening plants and equipments for civil water;
Construction of potabilzation plants for aqueducts;
Construction of depuration plants for water coming from

The organization of the group is divided into different departments.
The various tasks and the different roles are established according to the specific capacities of the management staff, to the different attitudes and to the remarkable productive capacities of the workers subdivided in different operative sectors.
The production departments are divided in: Mechanical Workshop, Metallic Carpentry, Electromechanic Workshop, Electronic Laboratory
There are also teams for the outside work constituted by builders and electromechanic workers. The new head office in Florence is at a short distance from motor ways which connect the town to the rest of Italy, and from Florence airport which, as well known, is having a remarkable impulse in international and domestic connections.
